Labne with Roasted Garlic Sumac Dip

  • 500g Greek style yogurt
  • 2 roasted garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 tsp sea salt flakes
  • 1 tsp sumac
  • Extra virgin olive oil

  1. Step 1

    Combine Greek style yogurt, roasted garlic cloves and sea salt flakes together in a mixing bowl, stirring until well combined.

  2. Step 2

    Line a sieve with two pieces of clean muslin cloth, pour yogurt mixture into centre, bringing the edges of the muslin together and tying to enclose yogurt mixture.

  3. Step 3

    Place sieve over a bowl in the refrigerator for 12 hours to allow the whey to drain.

  4. Step 4

    To serve, place yogurt cheese in a bowl (discarding whey), sprinkle with sumac and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
